About Dr. Moon

Dr. Moon was drawn to the precision of dentistry and the breadth of medicine, and rather than choosing between them, he pursued both. That dual path led him to oral and maxillofacial surgery, where the complexity of head and neck anatomy and the chance to work with his hands made for a natural fit. As a board-certified surgeon, his clinical expertise spans dentoalveolar and implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and facial trauma and reconstructive surgery. His dual training in both dentistry (DDS) and medicine (MD) allows him to approach complex cases with a comprehensive understanding of both surgical and medical management, particularly valuable for patients with significant medical histories or craniofacial conditions requiring coordinated, multidisciplinary care.

Dr. Moon values getting to know his patients and considers it a privilege to improve their health and well-being. He brings his extensive training to every case, delivering safe, exceptional care.

Education & Residency

Dr. Moon completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, then completed a general surgery internship and his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He went on to a fellowship in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at El Paso Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Moon is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the Washington State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (WSSOMS).
