Washington state is one of the top 10 states with the highest active duty and reserve military members. Active soldiers and veterans alike have sacrificed a tremendous amount in order to protect our county. In an effort to show their appreciation, Pacific Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons is proud to provide James, 56, of Auburn, with a brand-new smile through a full-arch restoration treatment as a part of the practice’s new Smiles For Soldiers program.
James, a husband and father of three, served as a torpedo mechanic in the Navy. He now suffers from severe dental issues. He has always put his family’s needs ahead of his own, and although he recently started seeing a local dentist again, many of his teeth have been missing, decayed, or broken for years. He aspires to run for a local political position, but struggles because of his teeth and feels that they have held him back from achieving his dreams. In his application, James stated that he wanted to be able to “show physically how happy I feel emotionally when I meet the ones I love.”
“The Smiles For Soldiers program is our way of giving back to the military veterans and active duty soldiers who have not only done a great deal for our country, but for our local community,” said Dr. Carl Johnson. “We are eager to help transform James’ smile and help him get closer to achieving his dreams.”
Pacific Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons will partner with Dr. John Petrini from Petrini Prosthodontics and Straumann to give James his new, flawless smile.
