Meet Hwi Sean Moon, DDS, MD
Dr. Moon is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who believes in providing safe and personalized patient-centered care.
About Dr. Moon
Dr. Moon has always wanted to work with his hands and enjoys the complexities of the head and neck anatomy, making oral and maxillofacial surgery a natural fit for him. As a board-certified surgeon, his clinical expertise includes orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and facial trauma and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Moon enjoys getting to know his patients and feels privileged to treat their needs and improve their health and well-being. He looks forward to every opportunity to utilize his extensive training and deliver safe, exceptional care to his patients.
Education & Residency
Dr. Moon completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at El Paso Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Moon is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS).
Dr. Moon is an avid sports fan who enjoys spending time with his wife and dog. Some of their hobbies include traveling the world and exploring local cuisines.
